I'm not sure if many of you know, but let's just put it out there: I hate the color yellow. I know it's basically the color of sunshine and happiness and buttercups and blah blah blah, but I just can't do it. No yellow for The Jazz. (Can I do that? Can I give myself a nickname? Well, half of it's already my IRL nickname anyway...Okay. Moving on...) What I mean to say is, I shouldn't love this cover. I should hate it.
But I don't.
I'm actually really digging the yellow/white contrast thing. And then there's the tagline which leads into the stark-looking title which I'm quite liking. Plus, the jumpsuits give it that total "laboratory" feel which I do so love to read about.
And THEN, there's the whole backs-to-us-entwined-hands things. That's quite the statement there.
Okay, I'm blathering. Just enjoy the pretty cover.
I love this cover too though I don't like yellow either .. For some reason I find this cover very creepy :) !!
ReplyDeleteI actually kind of like the yellow, it makes the cover stand out. I read the description for this book a while ago and I thought it sounded pretty interesting, and this cover totally works with the idea. Nice choice! ~Erika
ReplyDeleteI really like the stark white background in contrast to the bright yellows. The scene looks so sterile to me. Its intriguing.
