Ahh, yet another song/band from my childhood I just can't seem to permanently delete off iTunes. What can I say, it's hard letting go :P Plus, it's super old-school, yeah, but you can still dance to it!
Myspace - Eleventyseven
I'm so glad this came up on my shuffle search! I kind of forgot about this band in the past couple years, but I used to love them so and they'll always have a spot in my heart. This song is from their first album and considering the subject matter, you can kind of tell how old it is :P
This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race - Fall Out Boy
So apparently my iTunes just wants to pull up a whole bunch of my old favorite bands. I'm not going to lie, I used to be slightly obsessed with these guys. I still pull them up on my iPod every now and then too. It was kind of rebellious music for me at the time that I liked it and it still manages to bring back that feeling like their my own little secret obsession :P
Henrietta - The Fratellis
Husband introduced me to these guys while we were dating. I don't even really listen to the words, I just adore the music. It's so much different than basically everything else in my music library.
More Time - Needtobreathe
What a great way to round out and end off this mix! I just find these guys' music to be incredibly powerful. It's full of heart and soul and makes me feel all the emotions. They're music also has that perfect little bluegrass twang to it that makes it just a little upbeat while still being generally nice and calming.

Soul Meets Body - Death Cab For Cutie
I think I've mentioned my great love for Death Cab a time or two on here and the fact that it pops up when I randomize my iTunes just proves it even more. I quite like this song, but I surprisingly hadn't seen the video until I was making this post, but I'm glad I finally saw it :]
Mushaboom (The Postal Service Remix) - Feist
Techno Feist? I think yes. I didn't really listen to Feist before getting together with Husband, but I like her easy, mellow sound.
My First Stereo - FM Static
The first FM Static song I knew was Definitely Maybe. It was super catchy and upbeat and I loved it then I started listening to their other stuff and I discovered I liked it as well. Some of their songs are upbeat and fun to dance to and others are full of heart and deeper meaning.
Sorrow - Flyleaf
Though I don't really listen to this type of music anymore, I still have a soft spot for Flyleaf. Every once in a while I'll pull them up on my iPod and listen to them again. The lead singer has an absolutely amazing range.
Part One - Wavorly
A few years ago I was obsessed with this little-known tv show called TVU. I played all Christian bands, but not the type your thinking. It was everything for Family Force 5 to The Devil Wears Prada (yes, that's a band too) to the band above, Wavorly. Don't go judging it because I threw out the religion word, because I discovered some amazing music through that channel the above song included.

Five Years Time - Noah and the Whale
Husband is actually the one who introduced me to these guys. I really love their music. It's good for both sad and happy days which is a definite plus :] This particular song has been stuck in my head all day too.

This woman has an amazing voice and her songs are so powerful. Every time I listen to her I end up crying. But in a good way :P I usually try to keep my blog pretty neutral on the religion front, but I just had to share these songs since they're beautiful. I hope you'll listen to them and see what I see in them :] (I promise I'm not trying to shove anything down your throat or anything.)

Everything You Do - He Is We
It's been quite some time since I featured my favorite band on Tune in Tuesday so I figured you guys could use another dose of them :] This is an upbeat, cutesy love song which I absolutely adore. It kind of encompasses that feeling of new love perfectly. One of my favorite lines ever: "A little pathetic, with a dash of ooey gooey so romantic."
Edit: I totally forgot it was still book playlists edition for Tune in Tuesday. I'm thinking this song would go with basically any cute contemp, though. So let's do it this way. How about you tell me what book this song could go with :]

Electric Twist - A Fine Frenzy
I believe the first time I discovered A Fine Frenzy was about a year ago while I was listening to Pandora, a Christina Perri station, if I remember right. I love the easy sound of her music. It's all really smooth and quite perfect for those lazy days. I'd say this is one of the more lively songs, but I enjoy them all no matter the pace. Definitely check out some of her other songs if you like this one. You Picked Me and Almost Lover are a couple other favorites :]

Isabella - Dia Frampton
Dia Frampton is my new obsession. I was totally rooting for her last year on The Voice, and have been awaiting her album ever since. I was nervous when I first listened to Red (her new album) because there's always that nervousness that you might not like a new album, but I needn't have worried. Seriously, each time a new song started I fell in love with it. I love the whole album, but I chose one of my favorites to share with you guys today.
Seriously though, check out her out. This album is mix of a bunch of stuff. I mean, both Kid Cudi and Blake Shelton are featured artists! Yeah, random, but it works. This album is awesome. Her old covers are awesome. Listen to Dia because she's...awesome! :P

Ghosts - Laura Marling
My husband introduced me to Laura Marling when we first started dating. At first it wasn't my thing, but eventually I grew to really like it. This is probably my favorite song off the Alas I Cannot Swim album. The slow, melodic feel of it is perfect for days when I'm feeling kind of blah. Yeah, I'm one of those people who prefers sad music on sad days :P

I Will Follow You Into the Dark - Death Cab For Cutie
I have undying love for this band. This song, especially, has been stuck in my head lately. I was actually this close to using it as the song I walked down the aisle to, but a bunch of last minute changes were made and it just didn't happen. It's still one of "our" songs though. Yes, I know it's kind of a morbid song, but I adore it and it makes me tear up every time.

God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman - Aly & AJ
I actually really like this album. It has a nice poppy feel to it without being too popish. It's nice and upbeat without feeling like it'll be completely outdated and lame in 5 years.

Glee - Baby, It's Cold Outside
Hate me all you want for loving Glee, but I do. Come on, people, how can you not love Blaine and Kurt together? They're adorable, and so is this song (when they sing it).
The Christmas Can-Can - Straight No Chaser
Now to continue with the A Capella-ish theme we have Straight No Chaser. I really love their Christmas music. The funny like what's above and 12 Days is awesome, but so is their regular traditional stuff. You should definitely look up some of their traditional stuff too if you're a fan of A Capella :]

3. Let it Snow by Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle
I've been wanting to read this one for so long. I've finally decided that it's going to happen this winter. It simply must, especially since I haven't read any Maureen Johnson other than 13 Little Blue Envelopes and I haven't read any John Green whatsoever. I know, I'm a horrible book lover.
Okay, this one doesn't actually come out until March, but since that's still basically winter in Washington, it totally counts. Plus, it's set in the arctic and has both a walrus and a puffin. How cute is that?
Keeping with the middle grade theme (yes, a couple books in a row constitutes a theme) we have winter book basically because of the cover :P I don't have enough information to go off of to figure out the weather, but what the hey? I'm going to put it on this list and you're going to deal :P
Though this one takes place in a fictional place, it gets to count since it's around November (or at least partly). I love Maggie's writing and have really been looking forward to reading this one. Sadly, the mail has been stupid for about two weeks or so now and I still don't have it :[
First, I'm completely in love with this cover! It's so different and unique. This probably wouldn't usually be my type of read, but I've been hearing good things and I'm always intrigued by books with pictures. I don't have to explain the wintery-ness of this one though, do I? I mean, it's right there in the name...
10. Struck (Stupid Cupid bindup) by Rhonda Stapleton
And now I'm going to completely jump ahead to Valentine's Day. Come on, we all know this cover is cute. Who wouldn't want to read it? Plus it's about a matchmaking girl who's actually a cupid.

I've decided it's perfectly fine to start in with the Christmas. Well, to be honest, I've been listening to it since mid-October, but I've decided it's okay to bring here now. Rabbit Hear (Raise it Up) - Florence and The Machine
I'm a huge fan of Florence and the Machine. Her music is quite catchy and yet, it has quite a bit of power behind it. I think this one was released around the time as the Disney Alice in Wonderland movie. If you listen to the song you can totally hear some Alice in Wonderland-isms. I have to say, though, her videos are a bit weird :P Not always, but they can be sometimes.

Meet Me on the Equinox - Death Cab For Cutie
I freaking love Death Cab for Cutie. I love them like crazy. I've probably only liked them for about three years, but they're still the most played on my iPod. I've only liked them for that long because I had crappy music taste before :P I think this was one of the first songs that made me fall in love with them. Yeah, I could just gush, but it's really not going to go anywhere so I'll just stop it here.

Lights - Ellie Goulding
I remember hearing about her back when I first started listening to Owl City because he was a big fan. I wasn't really into this kind of music back then so I just kind of let it pass by. I rediscovered her just yesterday and fell absolutely in LOVE! I love her indie/techno vibe like crazy. This video is especially awesome since it's all her and has super cool effects. I highly recommend going and listening to her other stuff. If the techno feel isn't your style, she has some that are more downbeat - try The Writer.
