Cover Lover {60}

Of course we all know you should never judge a book by its cover, but do we ever really listen to that?
Cover Lover showcases eye catching, intriguing, and beautiful covers.

This week's Cover Lover goes to The Program by Suzanne Young
Publish Date: April 30, 2013
I'm not sure if many of you know, but let's just put it out there: I hate the color yellow. I know it's basically the color of sunshine and happiness and buttercups and blah blah blah, but I just can't do it. No yellow for The Jazz. (Can I do that? Can I give myself a nickname? Well, half of it's already my IRL nickname anyway...Okay. Moving on...) What I mean to say is, I shouldn't love this cover. I should hate it.
But I don't.
I'm actually really digging the yellow/white contrast thing. And then there's the tagline which leads into the stark-looking title which I'm quite liking. Plus, the jumpsuits give it that total "laboratory" feel which I do so love to read about.
And THEN, there's the whole backs-to-us-entwined-hands things. That's quite the statement there.
Okay, I'm blathering. Just enjoy the pretty cover.

  2. I actually kind of like the yellow, it makes the cover stand out. I read the description for this book a while ago and I thought it sounded pretty interesting, and this cover totally works with the idea. Nice choice! ~Erika

  3. I really like the stark white background in contrast to the bright yellows. The scene looks so sterile to me. Its intriguing.
