Reading Road Trip: Washington giveaway

I Like These Books and IceyBooks have teamed up to create a road trip of sorts. What kind of road trip, you ask? Well, the best kind -- the kind where you don't leave your comfy couch and have a bunch of chances to win awesome books! Want to check out all the posts that came before me? Well, you're in luck because I have a fancy schedule (not made by me) you can see below :D

So what do I have to offer? Well, I'm glad you asked!
First off, my state is....MY ACTUAL STATE! Exhibit A:

Now for the goods:
I want to give away one of the Body Finder books by Kimberly Derting since they're set in Washington state (really close to a place where Husband's family lives, so that's interesting) Derting actually lives in WA too, so it's like a double whammy! I figure just in case you own some, but not all of them I'll leave the choice open to you as to which one you pick upon winning :]

As a second prize, I'll be giving away a preorder of Velveteen by Daniel Marks since he lives in Washington. In fact, he lives just about an hour away from. Cool, right?

The first person I draw gets their pick of prizes and the second gets what's leftover :]

  1. The worst road trip I've taken turned out to be a disaster when the trip coincided with a tornado warning, so the bus had to take a detour somewhere else to avoid the tornado warning. Afterwards, the the trip was cancelled due to damages that happened to the tour sites.

  3. I went on a road trip my senior year of high school from WI to FL. There were 6 of us girls crammed in a minivan with all of our luggage. It was terrible! I don't know what we were thinking. We were all ready to kill each other by the end.

  4. When I was 7 or 8 I did a road trip with my aunt, uncle, and cousin from my house in Northern California, to Disneyland, then back up to their house in Washington. I got addicted to mango Snapple. LoL

I'd love to take a roadtrip around the US to visit as many Starbucks as possible.

  10. Oh my gosh, I LOVE the idea of this giveaway tour! AND it helped me find another book blogger from Wyoming, and I can't tell you how happy that makes me as I miss my homestate every single day so so much. I'm kind of just waiting for the man to die off so that I can move back...

I love road trips! This is going to sound weird, but I really like driving long distances by myself best. I love popping in an audiobook, having some Code Red and Necco wafers, and chewing sunflower seeds until my mouth's numb. Sure, I suppose other people along can be okay, but really? Give me 14 hours in a car by myself and I'm perfectly happy (yes, I actually seriously considered becoming a trucker).

  11. I haven't really taken many long trips, except when going to see my fiance' in Spokane. And, none of those turned out bad. My real staple for a long trip is a stack of books to read along the way.

Also, the reason I was so drawn to the WA state stop/giveaway is because my fiance' lives in Spokane. LOL.... Spo-Can....You can imagine how many of us Southerners still say Spo-Cane. Took him awhile to get him to get me to remember the proper pronunciation of the city. Took him around 7 years to convince me to come actually visit Spokane, and see it for myself. And, it was beautiful. I fell in love with it on my first visit. I wish I could be back up there with him. But, I live in Alabama, which is a 2650 mile bus trip. And, it will be awhile.

  12. I've only gone on a few road trips, but they weren't very much fun since we drove straight through during the night. :P My dream is to have a road trip from Texas to California, and have multiple stops along the way. I would love to do that!!

    Thanks for the giveaway. <3

  16. Great road trip memories: my husband and I road trip from Iowa to New Hampshire at least once a year to visit his family. It's always a straight-through drive, which takes about 20 hours, but it's always a good time with good rock music & lots of coffee and junk food. :) Thanks for the giveaway!

  21. Once we were driving from California to the grand canyon, and then in the middle of no where there was a HUGE accident, so in the middle of the night we had to wait for 3 hours for everything the clear :( Thanks for the great giveaway!!

  22. I think my favorite road trip was to Disneyland (from Washington!!!! Yup, born and raised, and still from there) when I was in first grade. Or maybe it was to California with just my Dad when I was in high school. Or maybe one of the trips I've made with my own kids to visit my parents and the beach.... Too difficult to pick just one..

  23. A few years back I had a great roadtrip with my family to the southern states ending in Florida and then we came up the coast to the Eastern states. It was so much fun and I especially loved visiting Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC. Thanks for the giveaway!

  24. I haven't been on a road trip since I was a little kid. My dream road trip would be going about anywhere with my friend and then maybe getting a beach house somewhere along the way for a while (like that's going to happen). We've actually been planning a road trip for years for after we graduate (next year). Hopefully we will go on some sort of trip!

  25. I think the good roadtrips were when I was a kid, and could read in the car without getting carsick. Now it makes me nauseated, so no more road trips!
