TGIF is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger atGReads. Each week she poses a question and everyone is invited to join in and share their answers :]
This week's question:
Most Popular: What blog post has gotten the most comments/activity on your blog this year?
It's actually kind of a funny story. You would think the post with the most views would be some sort of link up thing (meme) or most likely a contest, but in thinking either of those things, you are completely wrong. The post that's gotten the most views is just a plain old review. It's not even for a book that everyone was raving about this year! My review of Heist Society by Ally Carter got 165 views in one day, and yeah, that's a huge number for me. I know that probably makes me seem like a small fry, but I am, so...:P Anywho. I kept getting more and more pageviews and I was completely and utterly confused. I checked my traffic sources and all that, but it was a secured Twitter link, so I couldn't really see where it was coming from. Turns out, the Gallagher Academy Twitter had tweeted about my review! Sadly, even after all those views, that poor little review still has one lonely comment :P
From one small fry to another, I think that rocks. I think it is awesome that it was a review and not a blog hop or giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
After all that one comment? well at least people saw it haha, and maybe the weren't bloggers that's why they didn't comment, just fans of the book that are the silent type...

It's great you got so many views. It seems like people often don't comment much on reviews. I guess it's easier to chime in on memes and giveaways. But I think reviews are more interesting to read.
