16. Do you ever dog-ear books?
Big, fat, negative no. Erm, I guess a negative no is a yes...so, just no :P
17. Do you ever write in the margins of your books?
Nope. I could never even bring myself to write in my
college textbooks.

19. What is your favourite language to read in?
Um, English :P
The only other language I've even tried to learn was French and let's just say that didn't go too well.
20. What makes you love a book?
A good plot. I love characters, but the plot is what
usually sells me.
Great answers (: How could anyone dog-ear + write in the margins of their books! :O I have to do that sometimes for books I'm studying at school and even that bothers me! I could never do that to my own babies though. lol. Must admit I used to dog-ear books when I was younger and thought it was awesome O__O Now it's just as easy to get a scrap of paper.
ReplyDeleteI might have harassed one of my old coworkers about dog earring the book he was reading. And gave him a napkin to use as a bookmark. :-)
ReplyDeleteIn college I used mini sticky notes instead of underlining and writing in the margins. That worked out REALLY well for me, and I sometimes still do it if I'm reading a study guide or anything like that.
I never dog ear my pages, that is a huge no no! If I allow someone else to borrow a book I'm always very stern about NO DOG EARRING the pages or breaking the spine!
ReplyDeleteI used to write in books a lot when I was in high school/college. Not so much anymore. Though I honestly will take a red pen and correct typos I find. Even in library books (shhhh!).
ReplyDeleteI've read books in Norwegian, and have a copy of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales in the original Danish, which I was able to puzzle out back when I spoke close to fluent Norwegian. It's been about 10 years though, and I can't so much anymore. D:
